Q: For someone new to the Parish, what exactly is the Gala?

A: Now in its seventh year, the Gala is one of Saint Jude Parish’s main fundraisers. Thanks to the generosity of our parishioners, the Gala has raised more than $345,000 to date. The Gala is an evening for parishioners to gather and enjoy fellowship, live entertainment, a gourmet dinner, raffle prizes, and a silent and live auction.   

Q: Where do the proceeds from the Gala go?
A: The Gala is a parish event. The monies raised supports the ministries of the entire parish including liturgy and music, human concerns outreach, religious education programs, the elementary school, and youth programs.

Q: What are the specifics for this year's Gala?
A: This year's theme is Hemingway's Havana. Step back in time to the 1930s island paradise of Havana, Cuba, where novleist Ernest Hemingway once escaped to relaz and find inspiration for his classic writings. On Saturday, October 22nd, the event begins with the 5:00 p.m. Mass, followed by drinks, appetizers, and the silent auction in the school hall. Guests will then proceed to the gym for a sit-down dinner prepared by Shully's Catering, entertainment, and the live auction.

Q: When will I be receiving an invitation to the Saint Jude Gala?
A: Hemingway's Havana invitations have already been mailed! Most parishioners should have received their invitation last week. Q: Is there advertising space available in the Gala program book?
